SETS 6000

SETS 6000 is a powerful computer based testing package designed to assist that standards of training and competence are maintained at STCW defined level. SETS 600 have a large question database with more than 5500 multiple-choice questions available. The questions are classified into STCW define levels of management, operational and support and that are also divided into subject areas that covers each an important maritime competence.
The program can be used either as a single user program, or be set up in a network as a client-server application. The main database will be resident in a file server and the program interface can run from several workstations used simultaneously.

COLLISION REGULATION

It is a computer based training and testing software about different navigational lights, light characteristics and buoys. The trainees have the choice to use the mouse to point and click – or use the keyboard in answering the questions in a multiple-choice type. The navigation lights or other objects to identify will be shown for a maximum time of 20 seconds. The trainees must make a choice within these 20 seconds or the question will be registered as wrong answer. At the end of the test module, the user receives his test result with a comment on whether the knowledge of the trainee is sub-standard or excellent.

SAFE PASSAGE

Safe passage is an electronic teaching and testing software on the IMO international regulations for preventing collisions at sea. On the CD-ROM, users work through a vivid, animated depiction of all 37 rules, brought to life with almost 50 movie segments and voice over instructions.
